Familial Fronts, 2008
5 hand knit, hand crocheted, machine knit, and hand-worked garments, pen and ink drawings, stretched and framed authentic irish sweaters and found suitcases and briefcase installation.

I use tradition craft techniques such as knitting, crochet, and embroidery to create objects and garments that can be seen as fine art. The patterns created generates a new language based on already established forms of communicative symbols stemming from scientific data and historical signage, such as surface and upper level weather analysis and Viking insignia, to delineate the intersection of separate, dueling worlds based on familial conflict and personal experiences. These worlds are representative of the spaces that already exist jointly, but are in constant conflict. Without being forced to decide a victor, they agree to disagree, for the time being.

One’s Not Half of Two

Two Are Halves of One.

All garments are for sale. If interested in trying on, please contact for an appointment at the gallery.
