2010
2010 brings lots of new changes - specifically, my locale - I am now a resident of Brooklyn, New York and love it! Space is limited so production might be as well, but no fear, new things are always on the horizon and an abundance of inspiration is always upon me.

I am also now being represented by a lovely little boutique in San Francisco called Circle and Square. If you're in the area you will have a chance to check out my lovelies in person! Please do stop by as it is a beautiful store with wonderful treasures. Enjoy!

So I've been working on a new line of jewelry work inspired by both my deceased grandmothers' costume jewelry collections and tastes, both of which I've gratefully inherited. Please take a look and enjoy and know that most are for sale and are all one of a kind and made with love. I would also do commissions if you have a specific piece from your own family's collection that you would like incorporated, just drop me a line.

enjoy. and there's always more to come...

2009
Apologies for the neglect; life post-bac has been less than boring, and I've been juggling moving, full time job, and life in general. And yes, I have been less than active in the art-making department, but have been no less active in the, what I like to call, "mental art" department. The wheels are still turning! And most recently, they've finally pumped out the beginnings of my new writing project: Baggage, Claimed. It is my blog about the clothes in my clothes that I cannot throw away, give away, or put away without giving credit to their stories and mine. Please check it out and let me know what you think! New entries will be updated about once a week. Enjoy!

Spring!
Thank you to all who attended the Spring Art Sale; It was great meeting new people and being able to share my work with everyone.

My knitwear was also recently shown at the Fashion Show Exhibition in the new Sage Studios at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. The reception night was a big hit; Art, Fashion, champagne and strawberries - what could be better!

Also, I was featured on two fabulous blogs! The first is Access Fashion , that writes about great finds in the Art, Fashion, Knitting, and Craft world from all over! It was really an honor and I'm so happy to be a part of it. Please check it out and thanks to Jillian for the great opportunity. Also check out simplyolive for my other feature! This one features knit work, art, fashion, and sustainable things we love! Thanks also to Tracy for the write-up!

As for myself, I am now trying to make the final steps through my education and wander into the "real world" with ease. It is an exciting and busy time, so I have been quite occupied. But I am still working on some new projects that I will have up soon involving performances with teased hair, hot pink tulle tutu skirts, 36 feet of knitting, a sweater book, and reworked celebrity t-shirts. Hope that wets your pallet! Come back soon for pictures and updates! Enjoy the spring that has finally arrived with glory!
Spring Art Sale!
Thanks to everyone who came out to see the BFA show before it closed. We deinstalled yesterday and I was sad (but relieved) to see it go.

But fear not, if you didn't get the t-shirt you wanted, or the drawing or garment you had your eye on, I will be selling my work and some other related things at SAIC's Spring Art Sale. I will be sharing my table (Table #1!) with Miss Hannah Claire Somerville and we will have the best display in town, so come on out and buy some art!

"A diverse selection of jewelry, paintings, sculpture, photography, prints, fashion, and multimedia, created by over 120 School of the Art Institute students, is sold at the Spring Art Sale in the School's historic Ballroom, 112 S. Michigan Ave. Participants gain valuable skills such as presenting themselves professionally and pricing/displaying their work through this juried event. Guests have the opportunity to talk with the students and to take home a masterpiece by one of the world's next great artists.

This event directly supports students. Participating students receive 85% of the proceeds from their individual sales and Student Government receives a 15% commission on all works that are sold. This commission is used to pay for the art sale costs such as equipment rental, advertising, wrapping supplies, credit card bank fees and security. Any remaining funds beyond the cost of the sale will support other student projects through Student Government."
