Making Forts
The lovely Brooklyn- and Paris-based ladies from Fort Makers have asked me to collaborate with them on their line, premiering knitwear for Fall Winter 2012. Artist Naomi Clark hand paints on their silk dresses and scarves while designer Lauren Nevada embellishes them and Nana Spears lends her creative vision; their Fall Winter collection was inspired by Deco Cosmos. They sell at Bird, New York, Steven Alan, Louis of Boston among other boutiques nationwide. Have a look in the current knit section for the results.
Anthropologie Anthology
I was approached in early 2011 by my previous supervisor and former Barneys New York executive, Judy Collinson, to create commission knitwear pieces for Anthropologie's capsule collection for Holiday 2011. Having already knit samples freelance for the company as well as working in visuals a few years back, it was a great extension of my experience and come October, please look for my work in flagships nationwide.

2010
Brooklyn, New York. Space is limited but new things are always on the horizon and an abundance of inspiration is always upon me.

The Frances' Costume Collection is now being represented by a lovely little boutique in San Francisco called Circle and Square.

Frances' Costume Collection
A new line of jewelry work inspired by my deceased grandmothers' costume jewelry collections and tastes, both of which I've gratefully inherited. Most are for sale and are all one of a kind.

Commissions are also available if you have a specific piece from your own family's collection that you would like incorporated.

Enjoy. There's always more to come.

Success
Participating in the Spring Art Sale was a success; thank you to everyone who stopped by my booth.

My Penance scarf piece was recently featured at the Fashion Show Exhibition in the new Sage Studios at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Also, two blogs mentions: Access Fashion writes about great finds in the Art, Fashion, Knitting, and Craft world from all over. Thanks to Jillian for the great opportunity.

Also check out simplyolive for my other feature. This one features knit work, art, fashion, and sustainable things we love - Thanks also to Tracy for the write-up.

I am still working on some new projects that I will have up soon involving performances with teased hair, 36 feet of knitting, a sweater book, and reworked celebrity t-shirts. Stay tuned.
