Day 1, afternoon

Using a collage of actual clothing and accessories of my grandmother's, my mother's and found object of the same sort, I attempted to recreate my memory of my grandmother stuck in 1993, 15 years later. This is myself as my maternal grandmother when she came up to take care of my 7 year old self in Atlanta, Georgia while my mother and father took a trip to the "homeland" of Ireland.

I do not consider this a performance piece, but merely "live art," as I was living the images represented here in everyday life, but still acting as myself; thus, there was no performing, acting, or taking on of character, solely the image which portrayed my grandmother though the language of appearance and costume.

I will have a link up with excerpts from my statement on this work soon.
